NAGAON: The district unit of Krishak Sramik Unnayan Parishad (KSUP) on Monday slammed the Nagaon Police and demanded immediate arrest of Union Minister for State for Railway and local MP, Rajen Gohain for the alleged molestation case registered against him in Nagaon PS.

In a press release signed by the president and secretary Pradip Saikia and Amlanjyoti Mahanta respectively, the KSUP said that the role of Nagaon Police was highly questionable and the police were yet to act against Rajen Gohain. In the release, the unit warned that if Nagaon Police failed to move against Rajen Gohain on or before Friday, the organization would move against Nagaon Police administration and take out massive democratic movements against the administration from Saturday morning onwards till arrest of Gohain. On the other hand, in the same release the farmers’ organization demanded high-level enquiry into the molestation case against Gohain.
