Rajen Gohain's Effigy Burnt by Youth Against Social Evils in Silchar

Silchar: Youth Against Social Evils (YASE), Silchar unit on Sunday burnt the effigy of Rajen Gohain, Deputy Union Minister for Railways, demanding his resignation from the ministry, for his alleged involvement in a rape scandal, as per an FIR lodged by a woman in Nagaon district of Assam.

YASE has also demanded a high level enquiry into the incident. Till then, as YASE has demanded, the 68 year old Minister who is a senior member of BJP should not be allowed to continue his office. The woman (26) is a resident of Deurigaon in Nagaon district. Among others present during demonstration included Sanjeev Roy, Pronoy Nag and others.
