GUWAHATI, March 28: An allround performance from Rajni Lodhi helped Silchar to earn a berth in the fil of the Javed Khan Memorial Women Inter District Cricket tourment defeating Dibrugarh in the first semi fil held at Goalpara today. Silchar won the one sided match by199 runs.
Rajni, the star of the match, first played an unbeaten knock of 168 runs and later collected three wickets giving away just seven runs.
Silchar, elected to bat, scored 240-3 in their 30 overs. The entire credit of Silchar's big innings should go to Rajani Lodhi. She took 109 balls to play the unbeaten knock of 168 runs with the help of 20 boundaries. Urmila Chatterjee (30) was the second highest scorer for Silchar. In reply, Dibrugarh bowled out paltry 41 runs in 25.4 overs.
