Rameswar Teli feels euphoric on victory over former Union Minister Paban Singh Ghatowar by a whopping margin

TINSUKIA: In Tinsukia district segments of 13 Dibrugarh HPC, namely 122 Tinsukia LAC, 123 Digboi LAC and 124 Margherita LAC, BJP candidate Rameswar Teli defeated INC candidate and former Union Minister Paban Singh Ghatowar by a whopping margin of 1,38,799 votes, securing nearly 70 per cent of the total votes polled.

Rameswar Teli pulled 92,685 votes as against 25,620 of PS Ghatowar in 122 Tinsukia LAC, 69,891as against 27,747 in 123 Digboi LAC and 94,422 as against 34,832 votes in 124 Margherita LAC. Quite euphoric, Teli told mediapersons here that the cumulative margin would be more than 3 lakh after 6 LACs of Dibrugarh district- Moran, Dibrugarh, Duliajan, Tingkhong, Naharkatia and Lahowal were added up.
