Randomization of EVMs and VVPATs in Cachar by Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri

Silchar: Deputy Commissioner organized a meeting on Sunday with all the political parties and conducted the randomization of the EVMs and VVPATs. The process was conducted in the presence of Deputy Commissioner of Cachar Laya Madduri, Election Officer Sudip Nath and other officials along with the representatives of all political parties. It was informed to political parties that all polling stations will have VVPATs through which voter can verify through a printed slip which could be seen inside the VVPAT.

Deputy Commissioner urged upon the political parties to download cVIGIL application from Google Play Store and in case of any violation of Model Code of Conduct, they can report with appropriate photos and evidences by using the application. Laya Madduri added that on receipt of such complaints the enforcement teams will visit the location and take necessary action. ECI mandates that every such complaint should be acted upon and closed within 100 minutes.
