Guwahati: In the interest of public service, Prasanta Bhuyan, Deputy Inspector General of Police (CR), Diphu, Assam is transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (NER) Tinsukia against an existing vacancy, with effect from the date of taking over charge.

Similarly, Luish Aind, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Police Commissionerate Guwahati is promoted to the grade of Super Time Scale-I in Level 13A of pay matrix and is transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Security).

Also, Dilip Kumar Dey, Deputy Inspector General of Police (SB) is transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (CR) Diphu vice Prasanta Bhuyan who has been transferred to Tinsukia as Deputy Inspector General of Police (NER).

Moreover, Violet Baruah, Commandant 9^th APBn, Barhampur is promoted to the grade of Super Time Scale-I of IPS in level 13A of pay matrix and is transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (SB) Assam Guwahati vice Dilip Kumar Dey who has been transferred Deputy Inspector General of Police (CR) in Diphu.

Furthermore, Arabinda Kalita, Asst Inspector General of Police (Admin) Assam Ulubari, Guwahati is promoted to the grade of Super Time Scale-I of IPS in level 13A of pay matrix and is transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (L&O), Assam against existing vacancy with effect from the date of taking over charge.
