Red Horns Division of Indian Army Organizes Free Plantation in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: A unit of the Red Horns Division of the army on Saturday organized tree plantation at L P School, Islampur in Kokrajhar district. The tree plantation drive was aimed at generating awareness amongst locals on the adverse effects of deforestation and developing a sense of ownership of each individual over the sapling.

Altogether 50 students, 10 teachers and about 50 civilians were present during the event.125 fruit bearing saplings were planted around the periphery of the school. The motivation of the locals and students was evident both in terms of strength and zeal.
