Regional committee of Assam Tea Tribes Keot Vikash Manchato to be formed at Naharkotiya

Naharkatia: A public meeting organized by the Dibrugarh District Committee of Assam Tea Tribe Keot Vikash Mancha was held at Nahoroni Radheshyam Todi Jatiya Vidalaya premises. The meeting, after a threadbare discussion, with the people present at the meeting, resolved to form a regional committee of Assam Tea Tribes Keot Vikash Mancha at Naharkotiya.

Central committee president Nabin Keot and general secretary of Dibrugarh district committee, Tralukya Keot of Assam Tea Tribe Keot Vikash Mancha were present at the meeting. More than 100 people participated in the meeting. The meeting was important as the entire State has been reeling under the politics of granting Scheduled Tribe status to the six ethnic communities, including 36 communities of tea tribes.
