MUSHALPUR, March 24: ABSU president Pramod Boro has called upon the people of BTAD to vote for a change in the BTC polls to be held on April 8.
Addressing an election meeting at Nikashi in Baksa in support of Lekhth Guragain, PCDR candidate for No. 23 Dihira BTC LAC recently , ABSU president Pramod Boro said, “An unstable environment prevails in the entire BTAD due to the corrupt misrule of the BPF in the last ten years. The only way to get rid of the present condition is to go for a change. Another black chapter will be scripted in BTAD unless we bring this change,”
He said that corruption in the BTAD exceeds any corruption in the country. The rulers who used their political power for their persol ends, must be ousted from power. PCDR has come forward to bring a change in BTAD by upholding the democratic values. He appealed to the public to give the PCDR a chance to bring in a corruption-free rule, development of all on equal footing, equal rights to all, transparent administration and if the PCDR cannot succeed, it will voluntarily give up power.
The ABSU president reiterated that every ethnic community should get the opportunity to maintain their ethnic, linguistic and cultural identity in the BTAD. He further stated that tiol political parties should keep away from contesting the BTC polls to give the local people a chance to bring in the desired changes in this region as the BTAD was created considering the failure of such tiol parties to develop this region.
