Tamulpur, Feb 1: On the occasion of Saraswati  Puja on Wednesday, more than 10,000 students along with parents gathered inside the Rendezvous Park of Tamulpur in the district of Baksa. The park was built along the bank of the River Matanga in the year 2005. It was planned by cultural worker and former BDO of Tamulpur development block, Leho Boro. The park was decorated with colourful garden, small ponds, mini zoo and neon lights to attract tourists.

But since the past few years the park is losing its beauty due to lack of proper maintence. Few days back, BTC E M Deben Boro decided to renovate the park and as a result, the Tamulpur Rendezvous  Park was again made ready for public.

On Wednesday morning, students of various educatiol institutions rushed to the park and spent their time with friends. The park has been made attractive with various kind of flowers, trees, lights and playing goods for children. An open cultural programme was also arranged in the Dr. Bhupen Hazarika open stage inside the park where various students performed songs, dance and one-act play. BTC EM Deben Boro said that inside the park a library, a hall for cultural activities and a gymstics hall have also been arranged for the all-round development of the people of the area. Local public praised BTC EM Deben Boro for his attempt to renovate the Tamulpur Rendezvous Park.
