Retired Assam Civil Service (ACS) officers' meet held to discuss issues related to their welfare

Biswanath Chariali: A meeting of the Retired Assam Civil Service (ACS) officers' body was held on Sunday at Sewa Bhavan, Guwahati with Asitaksha Chakravarty, former Deputy Commissioner of Biswanath district, in the chair.

The meeting thoroughly discussed various issues related to the welfare of the retired civil servants of the State. The meeting also passed a good number of resolutions in this respect. The resolutions included to have an interaction with junior ACS officers by sharing the valuable experiences of the members and it will be taken up with the help of ACS Officers' Association two times a year, to publish a wall magazine at AASC Khanapara, to collect good conditioned unused garments from the members for distribution amongst the affected persons during flood and also to hold a Bihu get-together of all the members of the forum on April 21 at Sewa Bhavan.
