Retired teacher dies of JE, four others undergoing treatment

GAON (HAIBORGAON), June 14:  A retired female teacher died of Japanese Encephalitis (JE)  in gaon district and four other persons are under treatment in Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). According to sources, the retired teacher has been identified as Jaminiprabha Devi of Madhatari area of Kalibor in gaon district and she died on Monday evening at a private hospital in Guwahati. The four other persons who have been affected by Japanese Encephalitis are undergoing treatment in GMCH and they have been identified as Mamtaj Begum of Udmari Dagaon, Safi Khatun of Dhing Dhaniabheti, Bishal Mandal of Laogaon and Mousomi Medhi Kakati of Birah Bebejia. On the other hand, total 34 persons have been affected by malaria in the district.
