Itanagar, July 17: ‘River Song’, an indigenous feature film from Arunachal Pradesh, has been selected for competition and premiere at the 15th International Indian Film Festival (IIFF), slated to be held at Stuttgart, Germany, on July 20 this year.

The film has been directed by Sange Dorjee Thongdok, who was earlier honoured with the National Award for ‘Crossing Bridges’, a feature film in Shertukpen language.

‘River Song’ is a film about the developing bond between two lonely youths who have differences of opinion and a language barrier. How they overcome obstacles in life besides developing a beautiful relationship is the theme of the film.

Congratulating the filmmaker, Assembly Speaker TN Thongdok in a message said the film features strong image and impressive cinematography, sound, and design.

“The making of these films will go a long way in showcasing the talent of the people of Arunachal Pradesh to the whole world,” Thongdok said.
