PATHSALA , March 9 : The Rupkonwar Kristi Samaj (RKS) , a socio-cultural orgainsation of Bajali , is going to orgainse a seven-day book fair at Hari Mandir premises in Pathsala from March 11 to March 17. As per the programme , the book fair will be started with the hoiting of flag at 4.00 pm on March 11. Ganesh Ch Das, president of RKS, will hoist the flag. Dr Dhrubajyoti Bora, noted writer and president of Axom Xahitya Xabha , will formally igurate the book fair while Dr Paramanda Rajbongshi , secretray general of Axom Xahitya Xabha , will join as the chief guest in the igural programme. In the evening , writer Jibankrish Patra will light the igural lamp. As a part of the book fair, various competitions including quiz, debate , extempore speech, recitation and solo dance competion will also be organised. The velidictory function will be held on March 17 which will be presided over by Chakradhar Deka, Principal of BB Kishan College , Jalah. Jourlist Baikuntha Goswami and writer Khagen Mahanta will present as appointed speaker in the velidictory function. Gauri Brahma, who was a close assocate Bishnu Rabha, will be felicitated in the programme. Cultrual programe will also be held in the evening which will be igurated by singer Dasarath Das.
