Road blockade at Margherita

MARGHERITA, Feb 27: The residents of wards no. 7 and 8 of Margherita Town Committee on Monday staged a blockade at the NH-38 road near Satsang Vihar, Margherita in protest against power cut since the last one week.  More than 2,000 residents of the two wards blocked the NH 38 road near Satsang Vihar, Margherita for more than two hours and shouted various slogans against the Assam Power Distribution Corporation Limited, Margherita officials and Assam Government for failure to provide power.
