The statistics of road mishaps in Assam shows that people traveling in groups through common transportation systems or in personal vehicles during night hours are more prone to suffer from accidents. In a recent instance of a road accident that took place near Sewaguri in Sarupathar, three persons were injured seriously after the bike they were traveling through hit a roadside tree. The people injured in this accident were identified as Mainul Hawk (21), Jakir Hussian (20) and Sariful Ali (20). In this case, we can see that the travelers of the bike were doing pillion riding which is one major reason for their bike to lose control and hitting a roadside tree.
