Road Safety Campaign at Gauhati University

GUWAHATI: A road safety awareness campaign was held at Institute of Science and Technology, Gauhati University on Saturday. The campaign was organized by Department of Business Administration, GU in collaboration with District Road Safety Committee, Kamrup Metro.

Attending the occasion as chief guest Kamrup metro Deputy Commissioner Virendra Mittal asked the students to keep everything in limit and keep away from the hazard of mobile, mad (liquor) and motor cycle. He asked the students to engage themselves in productive and creative activities besides following road safety norms.

During the program, the DC also appealed students to sign a declaration to follow road safety norms and submit within 7 days to him to create an example.

In his speech, Mittal also appealed the students in his illustrious speech to work for the people in the line of Dr Bhupen Hazarika’s “Manuhe Mahuhor Babe”.
