GUWAHATI: As in the previous years, this year too, the Prodigy Communications is going to organise its annual CSR campaigning event on the theme, ‘Alert Today Alive Tomorrow’ on August 5 in and around Guwahati city. The objective of the campaigning is to alert the masses about the traffic rules and regulations besides reducing the risk of injuries and casualties that occur due to negligence every other day.

Talking about the campaign, ACP, Traffic Rupjyoti Kalita said, “We are taking all measures to reduce the number of accidents caused by reckless and careless driving. We extend our full support to the campaign- Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow.” Brand ambassador of the campaign Diganta Das said, “I have survived from a major accident in my life and hence am quite aware of how important it is to be cautious when on the road- either as the driver or pedestrian. Through this campaign, if we are able to spread the word even to a small bunch of people we would consider ourselves successful”.

The activity shall begin at 9 am and get over by 1 pm on 5th August. A customized setup will be organized at the busy intersection near Rajiv Bhawan, ABC point. A Rally would be followed after the campaign is flagged off, with a gathering of around 250 participants in Bikes and Cars. The route map for the rally would be covering the areas of Ganeshguri, Zoo Road, Chandmari, Silpukhuri, Guwahati Club and DGP office.
