Role of SOFEC in saving ture lauded

Dibrugarh, May 14: A meeting of Society for Forest and Environmental Conservation (SOFEC), DHSK College Unit was held at Srimanta Sankardeva auditorium on Friday.

Associate Professor of Zoology department, Trikendrajit Gogoi presided over the meeting. The annual magazine of the organization titled ture, edited by Dr Sunda Sahu, was iugurated by retired Associated Professor of Geography department, Dr Bharati Dutta.

Principal Dr Sasikanta Saikia, both Vice-Principals, Dr Atikuddin Ahmed and Kalpa Sengupta Baruah and IQAC coorditor , Dr Priyadev Goswami were present in the meeting. In his speech, Principal Dr Sashikanta Saikia appreciated the members of SOFEC for their positive activities towards ture. In the meeting SOFEC offered farewell with certificate and a packet of books to Dr Bharati Dutta who was the founder member of SOFEC.

In her speech Dr Dutta said that DHSK College was playing a positive role in the society. She spoke about the college activities and said that DHSK College would be able to attain a good position very soon. All the members present in the meeting came to this point that all of them would work hard to save and develop ture.
