Rs 35 lakh seized from two persons in Nagaon

NAGAON: An Election Statics Surveillance Team led by Vreegu Kr Bora and Diganta Bora on Thursday seized cash Rs 35 lakh from two persons in the Batradrava LAC area. According to sources, the team also detained both of them and when they were questioned about the cash and their identities, they identified themselves as Manoj Deka and Chitra Das and said that they were the employees of Bandhan Bank. They were carrying the money from some collection centres. But interestingly, they could not show their identity cards of the bank or other related papers as proof till filing of this report.
