Rs 4 lakh ex gratia to lightning victim kin

Hailakandi, April 5: The Hailakandi district administration paid an ex gratia of Rs 4 lakh to the next of kin of Mijuddin Borbhuiya who died after lightning struck him on March 16. Circle Officer, Lala, Madhumita th handed over the cheque on behalf of the district administration to the victim’s widow Humera Begum Borbhuiya at her residence on Wednesday. The people of Rajeshwar Revenue Circle of Lala thanked the district administration for acting swiftly in releasing compensation to the next of kin of the deceased.
