RTI Awareness Meet By Nagaland Information Commission

KOHIMA: The Nagaland Information Commission conducted a one-day awarenes programme on RTI Act with the First Appellate Authorities (FAAs), Public Information Officers (PIOs), Assistant PIOs, village councils, town committee and women groups on Monday at Tiyi hall, Wokha town.

Chief Information Commissioner, Nagaland, Chanbemo Lotha, while giving a power point presentation, highlighted on RTI Act and the Constitution, enlightening the gathering on the objectives of the Act. He stated that RTI is a tool to create a practical regime of right to information for citizens to promote transparency and accountability of public authorities, stated a DIPR release.
