Salbagan Football Club reach fil

TANGLA,Sept 21: Salbagan Football Club of Gossaingaon  entered the fil of  ongoing 24th edition of Bodofa Upen Brahma  All  India Gold Cup Football tourment by thrashing Madan Maharaj Football Club of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh 8-2 in the second semifil today at Udalguri stadium.

The account was opened for Salbagan FC by ace striker Mithinga rzary in 11th minute but the Nigerian striker of MMFC drew it in 20th minute. The Salbagan boys resorted to attack the rival thereafter and piled up scores with shots of Langaram Basumatary in 41st minute followed by  fours of Joseph in 44th, 61st, 68th and 90th minutes and November Basumatary in 60th minute respectively. However, Sahil Thapa of MMFC maged to reduce the margin to 8-2 in 81st minute.

The Salbagan FC of Gossaingaon will lock horns with the Nongrim Hills  Sporting Club of Shillong in the fil to be played on September 23, Saturday from 2.30 pm.
