Sangma lashes out at critics

Shillong, June 14: Taking a dig at his political opponents (virtually BJP), Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma on Wednesday said that there are ‘jokers’ who talk nonsense about our state.

Addressing a public function held in Shillong, the Chief Minister said, “There are certain forces who are trying to dislocate us. As citizens of this state we should be firm and come together to take on those jokers who talk nonsense.” When after the function this correspondent asked the Chief Minister on who are these unmentioned ‘jokers’, he said, “Those are politicians who don’t have any idea about the developments taking place in Meghalaya” “These people speak without knowing things that is happening in the State,” Sangma added. BJP central leader lin Kohli recently had attacked the Congress government for ‘lack of development’ under the Congress regime in the state.  Further taking on his political adversary, Sangma said, “Check the governce then and now. We have set up a benchmark that will take our state ahead sans these jokers.”
