Sashastra Seema Bal Guwahati celebrates Republic Day

GUWAHATI: The SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal) Frontier Headquarters Guwahati celebrated the 70th Indian Republic Day at its Khanapara Headquarters on Saturday. Hoisting of National Flag followed by singing of National anthem, presentation of the Director General’s Silver Discs with Commendation Certificates to the awardees and distribution of sweets were the main events of the celebration of Indian Republic Day, a press release said. Sarwan Kumar, Inspector General, SSB Frontier Guwahati, unfurled the National Flag. L Thrinley, Deputy Inspector General, Frontier Headquarters SSB Guwahati and W Norbu Ebi, Deputy Inspector General, Sector Headquarters SSB Rangia were among the senior officers attended the function. Nearly 200 Jawans and staff of the Frontier Headquarters, including their families and children attended the celebration of Indian Republic day, the release added.
