Sasikala likely to come out of jail on parole

Cheni, Oct 2: V.K. Sasikala, who is currently in Bengaluru prison following her conviction in a disproportiote assets case, is likely to come out soon on parole to visit her ailing husband M. tarajan. She has applied for parole and might come out on Tuesday, her nephew and leader of one of the AIADMK factions T.T.V. Dikaran told reporters here.

“We have applied for parole for our General Secretary. She might come out on parole tomorrow (Tuesday) most probably,” he said. Dikaran said advocates have sought for a 15-day parole but he was not sure how many days she would be granted leave.

Asked about the health condition of Mr. tarajan, who is awaiting a liver transplant in a hospital in Cheni, Dikaran said he was “stable”. A recent statement from Gleneagles Global Health City, where tarajan is admitted, said he has a history of chronic liver disease and he has been receiving treatment for the last six months for his illness.
