Boko, May 18: Rekibuddin Ahmed, MLA of Chaygaon constituency, laid the foundation stone of a Lower Primary School building at Jaruwagaon to be constructed with an amount of Rs 25 lakh from plain area tribal and backward people’s development fund.

Jaruwagaon village is located 12 km from Chaygaon where around 100 families live. For education after lower primary level, students have to travel around 8-14 km to high schools and colleges through poor condition of the road.

After the foundation stone was laid, a public meeting was held in the school compound. Pranab Rabha from the village presided over the meeting. MLA Rekibuddin Ahemd said that he would develop the tribal and backward areas in his constituency. He urged the public to support him in the development of the area. He also declared that very soon the road from Jaruwagao village to Hatigarh village (total 5.64 km) would be constructed with an amount of Rs 3.15 crore.
