School Principal in Rajasthan suspended for posting objectionable comments against martyred CRPF Jawans at Pulwama District in J&K

Guwahati: At a time when the entire nation is moaning the brutal terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama District on Thursday, a government school principal in Rajasthan’s Pratapgarh district was suspended on Saturday for allegedly making objectionable comments against the CRPF personnel killed in the Pulwama terror attack.

Following the incident, Police had registered a case against the principal for “promoting enmity and hurting religious sentiments”.

Also, another case was registered by the school staff.

The incident had led to an uproar in the region, people also blocked the roads demanding strict action against the principal for his objectionable comments during the morning prayer.

In another such incident, a Guwahati based lady asst. professor was suspended by her college after several social media users responded to an “inappropriate” Facebook post over the Pulwama terror attack by the lady asst. professor.

The post was re-tweeted by a user with the name Comrade Squinty.

The user also tagged Assam Police in their tweet stating "How much lies being fed in colleges that such venom being vomited out to justify deaths of 45 Soldiers."

They further appealed the Education Minister of Assam Siddharth Bhattacharya to look into the matter & hold college equally responsible as her.

Acting on the matter, Assam Police taking quick notice into the matter reacted thanking the user for bringing up the matter into light. "This is being looked into and appropriate action will be initiated," said Assam Police in their reply.

It may be mentioned that the lady professor was also quizzed by the Crime Branch of the Assam Police over the Facebook post.

Furthermore, an FIR was also registered against the professor at the Silchar Police Station by one identified as Subhasish Choudhury from Silchar, Assam.
