School Principal Killed in Front of Students by a Gang of Miscreants

A principal of the Havanur Public School in suburban Agrahara Dasarahalli in Bengaluru, Ranganath, 60, was hacked to death by a gang of six people while he was taking an extra class of some students. This incident has come as an utterly shocking and freighting scene for the students who witnessed their principal dying in front of them. There were nearly 20 students in the class.

The principal was holding a class for 10th standard students when all of a sudden a gang barged into the classroom. This incident took place on Sunday when the school was closed and an extra class was arranged by the principal.

The miscreants, after killing the principal, ran away from the scene riding in a car in which they came to the school. However, a gang member was later arrested by the police following a tip-off. The accused tried to attack the police while escaping and this made the police to open fire on him. This made the accused meet a leg injury and was later treated in the hospital by the police after being arrested. The accused was arrested from Bengaluru's Mahalaxmi Layout area.

As suspected by police, it was a case of land dispute relating to the school building which led the principal to lose his life.
