As per statiscal data on the first day of Gunotsav, the attendance of students was 94.28 per cent. Meanwhile, a section of teachers and guardians have expressed resentment over the exterl evaluation by exterl evaluators as owing to the sil’s pace of the officers, the students were compelled to sit for exam and remain in school till 9 pm -10 pm.
Contrary to the popular picture where State ministers, including State Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, were seen sharing mid-day meal with students, the bureaucrats and officers who evaluated the schools in the district were reported to receive VIP treatment and had their lunch in rooms. On the first day of Gunotsav, many teachers allegedly distributed wrong question papers to the students which left the examinees confused. Many teachers even alleged that the infrastructural deficit in many schools was overlooked by the evaluators.
