Secular ideology of BPF attracting people from other parties: Mohilary

KALAIGAON, Feb  14: A large number of BJP, Congress, AIUDF and AGP supporters joined the BPF at Kalaigaon on Sunday.

On the occasion, a joining meeting was held in the premise of Jewram Baro Complex which was presided over by Hiren Baro. Jagadish Sarkar, Executive Member of BTC, was the chief guest of the meeting. While addressing the meeting, Sarkar said that people from other parties were joining BPF because of the secular political ideology of the party under the leadership of Hagrama Mohilary. He said, “In the upcoming assembly polls in Assam, people will reject the both the AGP and Congress as they are fed up with the unfulfilled commitments of the parties.”

He said that in the last parliamentary election, people voted for the BJP presuming it to be a substitute for the Congress, but the BJP was also showing the same character. As many as 304 people joined the BPF in the meeting on Sunday. Maheswar Baro also spoke in this meeting who has been nomited as a candidate for contesting from Kalaigaon Legislative Assembly constituency in the forthcoming polls. Several BPF leaders like Prasan Baro, Biy th and Prangupal Adhikari took part in this meeting where 500 people were present.
