Security bandobast for NRC update process in Dima Hasao

Haflong, Dec 27: The District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner of Dima Hasao, Devajyoti Hazarika, has issued order detailing the Additiol Magistrates (ADM) and Executive Magistrates (EM) circle wise in view of the forthcoming draft publication of tiol Register of Citizens (NRC) on December 31.

This order is in apprehension of breach in law and order before and after publication of draft NRC, with immediate effect and until further orders from the District Magistrate. According to the order, the Mahur circle is detailed under ADM Vikram Dev Sharma, entire Maibang subdivision circle under ADM N K Deb th, Diyungbra circle under EM M J Thaosen, New Sangbar circle under EM Rahul Doley, and Harangjao circle under Hemanga bis.

They will carry out the IEC activities at CRCR/LRCR level and ensure smooth publication of the draft NRC as per instruction and guidelines of the State coorditor of NRC, Assam. The overall in charge of law and order will stay under ADM and Nodal officer NRC Dipak Jidung.
