Security beefed up ahead of votes counting in Jorhat

JORHAT: Counting of votes for the 12 Jorhat Lok Sabha constituency will start from 8 am at the premises of Jorhat Government Boys’ HS and MP School in Jorhat city. Security in and around the strong room has been beefed up following a high-level meeting regarding the Naga rebel attack in Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday in which MLA Tirong Aboh was killed.

Counting will start at 8 am at four different venues and the candidate who emerges victorious will be handed over official certificate at the district headquarter premises by the Returning Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner of Jorhat, Roshni Aparanji Korati.
