Security review meeting conducted

Guwahati, June 27: North East Sector, CRPF conducted a security review meeting of all ranges and CRPF Battalions under its command at Group Centre, CRPF Guwahati. During the meeting chairperson Prakash D, IPS, IGP, North East Sector emphasised upon the preparedness of CRPF, camp security and co-ordination with sister security agencies to tackle any law and order situation in the wake of final draft NRC publication. IGP, NE Sector also reviewed the general situation now prevailing in all districts of Central and Lower Assam and advised all senior officers to coordinate properly with state administration authorities to face any eventuality that would arise after publication of final draft of NRC. All range/CRPF battalions operational heads briefed regarding their preparedness and action plans. The meeting was attended by Sham Chand, DIGP (Ops/Int/Trg) and other senior officers, a press release stated.
