Sedition charge against Hiren Gohain Nondemocratic

LAKHIMPUR: The Lakhimpur District Council of the Communist Party of India termed the sedition charge against Dr. Hiren Gohain, the noted intellectual of the State, as nondemocratic, non-constitutional and autocratic.

The political party protested the development of filing FIR against him and appealed to the Chief Minister to withdraw the FIR. The party submitted a memorandum in support of their appeal to the Chief Minister through the Lakhimpur DC.
