Senior staff of Mukesh Hyundai workshop assaulted

GUWAHATI, July 5: One of the senior staff of Mukesh Hyundai Workshop, Ganeshguri, Kamal Das was allegedly assaulted by its Director Rishab Himatsingka on Thursday. Besides physical assault, Das, who has been working in the establishment for the last 15 years was mentally humiliated in front of all the staff and forced to kneel down inside the workshop reportedly for no fault of hiss.

Reacting to the unfortunate incident, the All Assam Automobile Labour Union general secretary has strongly condemned the act and demanded apology from the Director of the workshop. He alleged that a number of industries from outside the state are exploiting the local work force with low wages. He said that the staff have been facing such inhuman torture and humiliation from time to time which needs to be streamlined.

The workers of the workshop who witnessed the ruthless behaviour and assault on the spot also condemned the incident and demanded immediate apology from the autocratic Director failing which they threatened to abstain from duties.
