Sensitization programme held

SHILLONG, Oct 20:  A three  days’ sensitization   programme on   “Disaster Magement, Search & Rescue, First Aid , Preparation of  Village Disaster Magement Plans”  for  Village Disaster Magement Committees , Volunteers, Women Groups and  members of the NRICH Solution Society ,   was organized by   the District Disaster Magement Authority, (DDMA), Nongstoin in collaboration with the NRICH Solution Society, Nongstoin   from 18th to 20th October  2016, at Nongstoin C & RD Block , Nongstoin .

The objective of the training programme is to acquaint the local stakeholders on the various aspects of Disaster Magement , First Aid , Search & Rescue and  Mock Drill. Shri Phyri Marbaniang , Retd DDIPR and Resource Person MATI

 In his address, P Marbaniang underlined the Importance of people’s participation in DRM interventions as every human being is a stakeholder in times of disasters.
