Sensitization programme on JLG concept

GAURISAGAR, February 18: tiol Agriculture Bank  for Rural Development (BARD) organized a day-long sensitization programme for Branch Magers/Field Officials of Commercial Banks, Regiol Rural Banks (RRBs) on Joint Liability Group (JLG) concept on Tuesday in Sivasagar.

The dignitarieswho attended the programme were Arun Hazarika, Senior Mager, Assam Garmin Vikash  Bank (AGVB), Sivasagar Branch, BN Kaila, Chief Manger, UBI, Sivasagar Branch, M.Shetty, Lead District Mager (LDM), Sivasagar, Lakheswar Mahanta, District Development Mager (DDM), BARD, Sivasagar. Addressing the gathering, Arun Hazarika rrated briefly about the concept of JLG, process of its formation and future prospect.  He also highlighted how JLG could boost economic development.

Ranjan Duarah, Pronita Patir Block Coorditor of ARLM, zira and Demow Block Development Puspadhar Neog of NGO Krishak Nyas and Ajoy Rajkhowa, NGO Shrishti took part in the discussion and exchanged their views with the resource  persons on JLG concept.
