Service Revolver of Sub-Inspector Chandmari PS reportedly stolen in Khetri

Guwahati: A 9 mm service revolver of an on-duty police officer was reportedly stolen from a polling station at Khetri on Friday night.

The police reported to be the sub-inspector of Chandmari Police station, Ram Rautia was not aware of the fact that his pistol was missing since the day of the polls, it was on December 6 morning when the sub-inspector came to know about the incident and immediately brought into the notice of the officer-in-charge, Biren Deka about the incident.

It may be mentioned that sub-inspector, was on an election duty at Khetri’s Demoria, Kahikuchi, Topatoli, Durung Pahar primary schools (polling stations) on December 5.

On the other hand, the police officer is suspecting that the incident took place at around 7.30 pm on the day of polls.
