Seujia Samaj Sangeet Mahavidyalaya to celebrate 70th foundation day

SIVASAGAR, July 23: Seujia Samaj Sangeet Mahavidyalaya is gearing up to celebrate its 70th Foundation Day on July 25.

The celebration is scheduled to kick start with flag hoisting and smriti tarpan at 9 am at the premises of Seujia Samaj Sangeet Mahavidyalaya. In the evening, a cultural extravaganza will be held at Sivasagar tya Mandir where renowned Assamese film actor Pranjal Saikia will grace the occasion as chief guest at 6 pm, said Saurav Chaliha, president of Seujia Samaj Sangeet Mahavidyalaya Magement Committee.

Seujia Samaj Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, earlier known as Seujia Samaj Sangeet Vidyalaya, was established in the year 1945, and got recognition of Mahavidyalaya in 1989. Seuj Konwar Parag Chaliha, Atual Sharma, Sudhir Das, Makhan Bhuyan are just a few mes who shouldered the responsibility of building the foundation of the Mahavidylaya.
