Several injured in road mishaps

SHILLONG, Jan 22: A truck heading towards Guwahati overturned on a turning when the driver lost control of the vehicle.  The helper of the truck sustained injuries when the mishap occurred at Thangshalai under Mawryngkneng Block, East Khasi Hills. The injured identified as Umar Dean (26). In another incident a motorist sustained injuries when the motorbike was involved in a collision with a truck at Umran Niangbyri under Umsning Block, Ri Bhoi District. Meanwhile, a bus ferrying passenger was proceeding towards Mawiong when it collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction near the Umjajew junction at Mawlai Nongkwar, Shillong. A passenger sustained injuries.
