SHILLONG, April 4: After a three week long break, Shillong Lajong FC will travel down to Pune City on Wednesday morning as DSK Shivajians get ready to host the Reds on Saturday in I-League. The match will broadcast live on Ten 2 at 7:05PM from Balewadi Stadium Pune.
Shillong Lajong will be coming into this game after playing a goalless draw against Churchill Brothers SC in Goa on 12th March. Meanwhile, DSK Shivajians recorded their biggest margin victory of the season after winning by five goals to nil over a depleted Mumbai FC on 11th March.
The last time the two teams met was on 11th of February in Shillong and DSK maged to pull off a 2-1 win over Lajong. This also ended Lajong's four match winning streak at home but the Reds are now looking to get their own back over DSK and bring home three points from Pune.
The current I-League table shows Shillong Lajong FC in top four with 20 points while DSK Shivajians are in the 7th position with 14 points.
Shillong Lajong gaffer, Thangboi Singto said, "We are happy to have collected 8 points from the away matches played so far. Our target now is to get 6 points from the last two away matches."
"DSK is a very strong team in the I-League and they play good football. All we need to do when we play them in our next game is to not make any silly mistakes like we did when we played them at home", he concluded.
