Shillong Midnight Festival on New Year's Eve

SHILLONG, Dec 29: As a part of the New Year celebration, the State Tourism department will host the second Shillong Midnight Festival (SMF) at Polo Parking Lot on the night of December 31 and January 1. After the resounding success of the first edition of the festival last year, this year the event is coming back bigger and better with a range of local music,  dance and food in the heart of Shillong.  This year the festival will focus on two importantpoints – “Peace, Harmony & Progress” and “Keep Meghalaya Clean & Green in 2016”. Gates will open at 7pm and entry is free to the mega-event, which features an extended line up of music that includes five bands, four DJs and food courts.
