Short film 'Panchanvi Kanya' to be screened at Intertiol Film Festival

Silchar, Oct 27: Filmmaking is a daunting task as it tries the patience of even the most patient persons. Over the recent years, some young and talented minds of the town have seriously plunged into the field where success and recognition comes late. Sneha Tele Films first production ‘Panchanvi Kanya’, a 30 minutes Hindi short film was released on September 14 this year on the auspicious occasion of Hindi Diwas at Women’s College, Silchar. Many dignitaries of Delhi, Kolkata, Rajasthan, and Guwahati released the film. The film is based on the theme Prime Minister rendra Modi’s noble concept of “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” and there are 12 artistes and 30 members of the team including cinematographer, singers, and musicians.

 Maharaja Agarsen Charitable Trust and Agarwal Sabha, Guwahati, Delhi Public School, Khapara honoured Sneha Singhal, producer cum assistant director, who also played the lead role in the film along with the director of the film, a renowned socialist, jourlist and litterateur Madan Singhal, recently. Sankar Lal Goenka, producer of many Bodo and Assamese films, Ramavtar Agarwal, president and others honoured the award, Fuloon Gamcha, cash prize and silver coin. The film has been able to garner popularity, as viewers are able to relate to its basic storyline which revolves on girl education.

 In addition to this, ‘Panchanvi Kanya’ was also selected as showcase in Intertiol Film Festival, which has been scheduled to take place from December 3 to December 9. Director and writer Madan Singhal and Sneha Singhal along with others have been invited in the prestigious festival at Delhi. The makers of the film have also expressed their desire to make more meaningful films in the future.
