SHILLONG, Jan 22: The one week deadline set by the Meghalaya SSA Schools Association (MSSASA), Central Body, to the tiol Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), Noida to immediately rectify the errors in the results of Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) trainee batch 2013, ended on Sunday.

In this connection, the D.El.Ed trainee teachers have informed that the two-day sit in demonstration in front of the NIOS, Shillong office located at Laitumkhrah starting from January 24 to 25 from 11.30 am till 2 pm will proceed as planned. “The silence of Dr. Chandra Bhushan Sharma, Chairman of tiol Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), Noida to rectify the errors in the results of D.El.Ed trainee batch 2013, the failure to increase the validity period of D.El.Ed Training including the failure to reply in writing on our demands by NIOS have compelled us not to back track from the two day demonstration as decided by the Association earlier,” H.M.Marbaniang general secretary. Meghalaya SSA Schools Association Central Body said in a statement here on Sunday. “What will the future hold for the 4385 teachers which includes SSA teachers, government, Deficit and Ad hoc teaching at Elementary level trained in Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) in which the state government had entrusted NIOS to conduct the training,” he said.
