Sit-in protest on August 15 to demand setting up AIIMS at Raha

GAON (HAIBORGAON), August 10: In demand of the proposed AIIMS at Raha in gaon district, the AIIMS demand Committee on Wednesday commenced a common conclave at gaon Swahid Bhavan in which various organizations and other people took part. In the conclave, various organizations and other social dignitaries of the district slammed the stand of the State Government for its latest initiative regarding the proposed AIIMS at Raha. In the conclave presided over by convener of the AIIMS co-ordition committee, Prabin Das, it was decided to stage a sit-in on August 15 against the decision of setting up AIIMS at Changchari in North Guwahati. Moreover, the house took the decision not to participate in the programmes of Independence Day celebration. On the other hand, the house also took the decision to extend their support to the middle Assam bandh on August 12 called by Raha AIIMS Demand Committee.
