Six Bangladeshis Arrested From Gossaigaon, Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: The Border Police, Kokrajhar, has arrested six Bangladeshi nationals from different places of Gossaigaon under Kokrajhar district. They were absconding.

Sources from the Border branch of Assam Police said the arrested Bangladeshi nationals were declared as foreigners by the Foreigners Tribunal in 2006 and 2011 but have been absconding since then. The sources said the border police carried out manhunt in different places in the district and arrested the six ‘Declared Foreigners’.

The arrested Bangladeshi nationals were identified as Md. Samad Fakir alias Samad Ali Fakir, Md. Tasen Ali Sheik, Pramod Das, Shyamala Das, Majiron Bibi and Rahiton Bibi alias Firoza Bibi. They have been sent to the Kokrajhar detention camp.
