Six injured in road mishap

DEMOW, May 2: A road accident took place in NH-37 Road under Demow Police Station near Demow at Maskara on Sunday morning. The accident took place between a Bolero car and Alto car which collided against each other due to which six persons were seriously injured. According to sources, on Sunday morning an Alto car (AS 13 E 3540) coming from Sivasagar and a Bolero car coming from the opposite side collided against each other and both cars skidded off the road.  Four passengers inside the Alto car and the two passengers in the Bolero car were seriously injured. The local people reached on the spot and took all of them to Demow Model Hospital for treatment. The injured passengers of the Alto car were identified as Haider Ali who hails from Darrang, Attar Ali who hails from Darrang, Samsher Ali who hails from Darrang and Abdul Kalam who hails from Dalgaon of Darrang. The injured passengers of the Bolero car have been identified as Albis Tirki who hails from Dibrugarh and Fadar Albert Hemrom who hails from Dibrugarh. Among the injured persons, due to the serious condition of Attar Ali, Haider Ali and Abdul Kalam, they were referred to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh for further treatment.
