Six Kokrajhar girls selected to play PM's football cup

KOKRAJHAR, May 22: The Oorja Capfs Under -19 football talent hunt tourment organized by the Frontier Headquarters of the SSB, Guwahati, selection camp was held at Kokrajhar on Saturday last to play in Prime Minister’s football cup.

Bikash Pandey, SSB officer said that a total of eight team girls and men boys selection match were participated in the SSB headquarter, Guwahati from the state and two teams from Kokrajhar Gaurang High School and Jothai Club, Kokrajhar where six girls were selected to play PM’s Football Cup and they will represent Assam. He said that they have organized felicitation progamme at Gaurang high school to teachers and women footballers.

Jajbati Mohilary, Council Head of the Department (CHD), Sports and Youth Welfare, BTC said that they were glad that six girls from the locality were selected to play the PM’s Football Cup which is very good sign and inspiring for the upcoming sports talents in the region.
