Sonitpur district administration urges claimants to get Biometric Enrolment done for National Register of Citizens

Tezpur: The Sonitpur district administration has, vide a notice, issued a list of documents to be carried by persons who have filed claims to be included in the National Register of Citizens (NRC), while submitting their biometric data.

The district administration has appealed to all such claimants, who are yet to submit their biometric data, to visit their nearest NSK and get themselves enrolled at the nearest BME centre opened for the purpose along with the following documents – Copy of Notice (1.1 or 1.2), photo identity card along with passport-sized photographs. Biometric Enrollment (BME) of all persons above the age of 14 years, who have filed claims and have received Notice 1.1 or 1.2, has been made compulsory.
